I'll Be Home For Christmas

It's the most wonderful time of the year! I absolutely love teaching at Christmastime. Everyone is in a good mood. (Almost everyone!) The kids are excited. (Extremely excited!) Stress levels are high but it's good fun stress. It really is one of my favorite times to teach.

This year Mr. Musgrave and I have decided that stress levels were just not high enough, so we decided to take things to a new level. One whirlwind of a weekend we were out just minding our own business and out jumped this beautiful house. A few short weeks later, we have signed the papers and it's now our house. Yikes!

If you are thinking, "That's not completely insane, Julie. People buy houses all the time." Well, I haven't told you the best part. We are going to try to move before Christmas so we can be in the house for Christmas.

We haven't been telling very many people because we were afraid something would go wrong. Now that papers have been signed and dumpsters are being rented, it's time to say we are officially moving!

I have been known to set the bar pretty high for family Christmas fun. Getting into a new house by Christmas is a tiny bit Clark Griswaldish of me, but it will all be worth it to be sitting by the tree with my family. Did I mention I got matching jammies for Lyla and me? She requested hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies. It's going to be a fun old-fashioned family Christmas. We're all in this together.
